Abdillah Subhinm.abdillahsubhin@gmail.com
This study aims to interpret the symbolism of twins in Javanese marriage traditions and uncover their relevance to Islamic education. Kembar mayang, which is traditionally interpreted as a symbol of harmony, fertility, and balance, is often seen only as a traditional ornament. Previous research tends to stop at anthropological studies without attributing this symbolism to Islamic education. Through a qualitative approach with a hermeneutical ethnography, this study explores data from PAI teachers, scholars, traditional leaders, communities, and students in Tulungagung with interview, observation, and documentation techniques. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles & Huberman model combined with Paul Ricoeur's hermeneutics. The results of the study found that the mayang twins are still preserved in about 65% of Javanese traditional wedding processions and are understood by the community as an Islamic prayer that includes the values of monotheism, morality, gratitude, tazkiyah al-nafs, and ukhuwah. PAI teachers use it as a medium for moral learning, scholars interpret it as family prayers of sakinah, mawaddah, wa rahmah, while the community makes it a means of strengthening friendship. Thus, twins can be transformed into Islamic educational instruments based on local wisdom. In conclusion, the symbolism of the twins is not just a cultural heritage, but a living text that can be reinterpreted with Ricoeur's hermeneutics and Al-Ghazali's moral ethics. This research presents novelty by offering a model of integration of Javanese cultural traditions and Islamic education that is relevant for the formation of the character of the Javanese Muslim generation in the modern era.
2025-12-01T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 M. The research used a case study method with a qualitative descriptive approach through observation techniques for one month, interviews with principals and teachers for two days, and documentation to obtain empirical data on school personnel management practices. Data analysis is carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn/verification by triangulating sources to ensure validity. The results of the study show that the recruitment of education personnel at SDN 2 Sendang is carried out through the stages of announcement, candidate search, selection, and signing of employment contracts. At the same time, team member placement refers to the compatibility of competencies with the tasks needed by the School. Personnel development is carried out through coaching, training, performance evaluation, and the provision of incentive-based compensation to increase work motivation. Personnel administration services that include inventory of school facilities, preparation of reports, and assignment arrangements play an important role in supporting the smooth operation of education. The research concludes that systematic and competency-based personnel administration is proven to increase productivity, job satisfaction, and quality of educational services, and needs to be supported by the use of technology and collaborative culture for the sustainability of improving school quality.
2025-12-01T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Faridatul Munawaroh, Mar'atus Solehahttps://mail.ejournal.tahtamedia.id/nusantara/article/view/206Rotating Monitoring System and Multi-Model Evaluation for Enhancing Islamic Religious Education Extracurricular Quality in Elementary Schools2025-11-27T09:37:11+07:00Hanik Rista Maidaristamaida0@gmail.comHeri Khoiruddinristamaida0@gmail.com
This study aims to comprehensively analyze the implementation of monitoring and evaluation of Islamic Education extracurricular activities at SDN 5 Jurug, Sooko District, Ponorogo Regency, with a focus on: (1) the monitoring procedures applied by Islamic Education teachers in supervising six religious extracurricular programs; (2) the evaluation model used and its effectiveness; (3) supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of monitoring and Evaluation. The research used a qualitative approach with a field study method involving one Islamic Education teacher as the main participant. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. Data analysis included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, with data validity ensured through source and method triangulation. The results of the study show that SDN 5 Jurug implements a two-way monitoring system (directly through teachers on duty with a rotation schedule, and indirectly through attendance records) and implements four evaluation models simultaneously (Summative Evaluation, Goal-Oriented Evaluation Model, Countenance Evaluation Model, and Ten-Step Evaluation Model). The main supporting factors include full support from the principal, availability of adequate facilities, involvement of competent external mentors, and active participation of parents. The identified inhibiting factors are the lack of awareness and commitment of some teachers on duty to the established monitoring schedule. This study concludes that the integration of a rotation monitoring system and multi-model Evaluation has proven effective in improving the quality of religious extracurricular programs. However, improvements are needed in terms of the consistency of supervising teachers' attendance to achieve optimal results.
2025-12-01T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Hanik Rista Maida, Heri Khoiruddinhttps://mail.ejournal.tahtamedia.id/nusantara/article/view/207Analysis of School Principals as Supervisors in the Implementation of Educational Supervision in Schools2025-11-27T09:44:06+07:00Viola Prisma Anggi Armadilaviolaprisma19@gmail.comIsmail K Usmanismailkusman9@gmail.comDien Majid Ikhwandienmajid_i@letiges.or.id
This study aims to analyze the role of school principals as supervisors in the implementation of educational supervision, with a focus on exploring the concept, functions, objectives, principles, and implementation of educational supervision in improving the quality of learning in schools. This research employs a qualitative method combined with a library research approach, where data were collected from primary and secondary sources, including scientific journals, books, and relevant articles, supplemented by direct observation at one of the schools. Data analysis was conducted using a content analysis technique through three sequential stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification, with triangulation of sources applied to strengthen the validity and credibility of the findings by cross-validating data obtained from literature and field observations. The findings reveal that educational supervision has four key functions as a coordinator, consultant, team leader, and evaluator and the principal, as the central supervisor, holds a pivotal role in guiding educators to carry out their duties in accordance with educational standards. Effective supervision encompasses academic, administrative, and clinical supervision, with academic supervision contributing most significantly to improving teacher professionalism. The study also identifies twelve key supervisory responsibilities that principals must carry out systematically, while noting that implementation faces four main obstacles: cultural, regulatory, human resource, and infrastructure and funding challenges. It is concluded that the principal as supervisor plays a decisive role in shaping school culture, improving teacher performance, and ensuring that the teaching and learning process aligns with national education goals, as effective educational supervision guided by scientific, democratic, cooperative, and constructive-creative principles serves as a strategic instrument for achieving sustainable quality improvement in education.
2025-12-20T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Viola Prisma Anggi Armadila, Ismail K Usman, Dien Majid Ikhwan
